Diabasbord under arbete

Jag markerade först önskad form, sen var Mats behjälplig & borrade kilhålen.
Would you like to come along to see some of the work with our Diabase table?
After I marked the shape I wanted for the Diabase, Mats helped out with drilling the holes.
Jag satte i kil & bleck & slog tills det sprack- ungefär så som önskat.
I dont know the proper english words for the tools I use here, but there are three pieces I put in each hole, and then I hit them until the stone breakes- about the way I wanted it to.
Sen plockade jag bort & flyttade över kil & bleck för att fortsätta likadant på nästa sida.
I moved the tools to the next side and repeated the same thing all over again.
Sen gick vi på med sätten & här kommer våra samarbetsövningar in.. En håller & en slår, så turas vi om när någon (jag) börjar ta slut i armarna.
And then comes the team work exercise.. One of us is holding still the big "sethammer" and the other one hits with the sledgehammer, then we take turns to hold and hit when one of us (me) gets tired in the arms.
Formen klar. Jag skall borra hål högst upp i stenen, till en smidd ljushållare. Den stora ektrissan skall det sågas hål i för att kunna träs över stenen. Sen skall Karin glödrita Frödingcitatet jag berättade om förut runt hela trissan.
So, the shape is done. I´m gonna drill a hole on top of it, for the wroughted candleholder. The big piece of oak is gonna get a big hole in the middle, so it can be thread over the stone. Karin will decorate the big wooden disc with a quote from a Fröding poem.
När jag skulle rengöra Diabasen la högtryckstvätten av, så det blev till att investera i en ny. Här har jag just lyckats montera ihop & köra igång den.
The high pressure washer broke down, so here I have just mounted the new one and tested it, to clean the Diabase.
Aprilvädret spelade oss ett spratt i veckan. Vad hände, tycks de stackars små påskliljorna undra?!
The April weather played us a trick. Poor daffodils seems to wonder what happened?!
Men vårsolen gjorde snabbt sitt & återställde ordningen, till konsulternas stora glädje.
But soon the spring sun came back and the order was back to normal. My conslutants appreciates it just as much as I do.
